Drank the last bottle to accompany grilled tri tip, corn on the cob and green beans. Intense casis nose and fruit, still a discernible tannic structure but fading quickly. Fruit and acidity predominate. Glad I caught it on the tail end.... I don't think there are many years left in it.

Was incredible one year ago. Cassis leather and dark fruit. Now well enough structured. Has good nose, legs and color. Mildly hot but great structure. Supple tannins. Ever so mildly madeirized but one can debate that. Green apple finish. Drink em if you got em.

Enjoyed this wine with Steak and Ceasar Salad, we drank this right after C.H. Lot 13...compared well, I think i liked Lot13 slightly more, but both were very enjoyable wines and off the chart QPR. I would compare this to $25+ cabs currently in the Wine Stores. Good cab flavors, blackberry, cassis, decent finish, all around winner.

Just opened last nite with marinated steaks and Ceasar Salads...wine held up very well, nice structure with good fruit, standard cab profile, good well integrated tannins, is drinking very and is off the charts on QPR

Ripe, super forward nose of cassis. Jammy blackberry and sweet oak flavors, a little tannic on the midpalate, finishing with some buttery rich flavors of pancake syrup. Call it Silver Oak Lite. :) Although for all that, it's really only a little bit sweet. I've had far worse, but this doesn't do a thing for me. It's funny how my palate has changed since last tasting this wine, 17 months ago.

Open and place in decanter for two hours. Dark cherry flavors and a fair amount of residual sugar. These are drink quite nicely; however, best served with food and summer thunder clouds. Acidity has moderated; tannins have been tamed. Great QPR.

Uncorked and sat for at least 4 hours. Tasted tighter than a drum. Decanted immediately. After an hour in a wide-bottomed decanter, YES, now we're talking. Dusty, cherry bouquet. Multi-layered--Youthful fruit at first followed by dark currant, spice, and tobacco and about a 40 second finish. Firm structure. Outstanding Napa Cab that should only get better with age. Give this baby at least 2 hours of air. Cameron hit the mark with this one!

Again, great value. It is slightly fruity. It should be decanted to make the fruity nature of not to overwhelm. This bottle better than prior.

Starts out good. Waiting for it to open. Opened up great. This is a special bottle. Cameron is not lying. This stuff tastes like a much more expensive wine. Very good.

Double-decanted 4 hours prior to consumption. Very dark red in color, somewhere between ripe loganberry and blackberry. Active nose of boysenberry liqueur. Wonderful-- currently delivering cassis and boysenberry with firm but ripe tannins and a longish 20 second finish. Very yummy and this will only get better with a few months of bottle age. Not as sweet as other recent Cameron Hughes wines...

Great bordeaux type blend from California, and very reasonably priced. Big and fruity with deep rich luscious well balanced flavors. If you like the drier less fruity French bordeaux style this wine may not be for you, but if you like big fruity California style bordeuax blends, this one's a winner. Despite CH's claim that this wine is tight and needs decanting as well as cellaring, I don't find this true with the bottle I opened. It certainly may improve with a year or more, but it's very drinkable right now. I think 2003 was a great vintage year for California, based strictly on the bottles I've opened.
