Ca' dei Zago Prosecco di Valdobbiadene

What a pleasant surprise! This is essentially Prosecco made in what is apparently the original fashion, "Col Fondo," where the second fermentation takes place in-bottle without disgorging. Although apparently these producers lost their former Prosecco designation due to the color being too deep (??). The color is beautiful though, a shimmering, enticing, slightly cloudy gold.
