At 10 years old, this is definitely at that point. Drinking nicely aged for my palate, but each glass does start to slide if it sits too long�fortunately a fresh pour (open bottle, undecanted) brings things back well enough. Medium (+) garnet color. Aromas of dark and dark red fruits (fresh and dried), dried meat, soy sauce (getting a flavored beef jerky vibe), licorice, dark chocolate, walnuts, fennel, clove, and assorted other dry spices. Big oak bomb at first but that blows off after 30 minutes. Minerality up front with dusty rocks and sea salt. The fruit comes in next with blackberry and blueberry. Well balanced in all areas. Solid wine.

Very nice mellow but robust red. Notes of cassis, dark red fruit and just a hint of dirt. Fruit blossoms on the palate and through long finish. Tannins soft enough to pair with many foods.

Red berries, a little herb, and solid minerality. The wine has really relaxed since I last had this 18 months ago. Very smooth on the palate. Very easy to drink. Moderate tannins. Good food wine.

Solid wine here. Dark purple to crimson at the edges. Nose of dark fruit, violet, some rose petal, mushrooms, and a touch of oak. On the palate, there's blackberry, black cherry, some tart black raspberry, and dark chocolate. Fuller bodied but very smooth. Good acidity and smooth tannins. Paired excellently with mole chicken chili.

90 - 91 points. Dark wine with dark flavors. Dark chocolate, blackberry, blueberry, plum, vanilla, and well integrated oak. A little hot on the finish but as it opened over 2 hours this dissipated. Great structure and subtle earthiness. Excellent wine.

Deep purplish red in the glass with a lush nose of black fruits and brown sugar. Blackberry, plum, black cherry, orange rind, brown sugar and chocolate notes with ample, yet well-integrated tannins. Juicy and silky. Really delicious. I want more.

Tasted by Tom Langan on 6/10/11 - rated 92 - rich, powerful, and luscious wine. It has layers of black berry fruits, plum, and dark chocolate. popped and poured. Good acidity and smooth tannins.

Purple/Red in color. Some funk on the nose, light vanilla. On the palate, good fruit and acidity, nice oak. Tannins light, a little flabby maybe. Long, interesting finish. Tannins stay with you, very dry at the end. Nice for the money. Very good 3 days later. Smooth and fruity. Maybe a little cellar time would benefit this.

PnVnD drank immediately.Bright purple red to the rim almost opaque. Minerally red fruits with a touch of veggies on the nose. Medium(-) weight kinda pinot-like. Bright red fruits with cranberry and sour cherry juice with a touch of celery on the finish. Beet greens and cherry juice mid-palate. Medium finish a touch acidic. Will try tomorrow after leaving it overnight in the vacuum decanter. Interestingcomplexity but lacks depth not seeing the WE 94 points. Probably better with food.
