Crisp but lacking the grassy taste of many Sauvignon Blancs. Good with onion soup.

Very very fruit forward and full. Good by itself but very surprising. No tannins, pairs well with light foods as well.

Since my wife was not a fan of the previous bottle I used this one in a recipe for mushroom, leek, and potato soup. (Much much later, like 5 months) - I found over half this bottle sitting in the wine fridge and when I went to use it for cooking, realized that I liked it and so did my wife. Go figure.

I liked it again, nothing fancy but what I look for in a NZ Sauvignon blanc. My wife thought it had nasty bitter undertones.

PnP. Grapefruit, lemongrass, pear, lime and passionfruit aromas. Grapefruit dominates with lemon, lime, and ginger flavors. good to high acidity. A great food wine. Still a go to wine.

Terrific QPR and definitely one of my favorite suav blancs to date (although I normally don’t like SB so this needs to be taken with a grain of salt). Not grassy at all (which is what normally puts me off of SB). Instead, a welcoming tropical and tree fruit nose. Light bodied, high acidity, refreshing palate following nose. Grapefruit and pear. This could easily become a house wine (for someone who likes SB!). WSET: Pale lemon in glass, medium nose …

Sauvignon Blanc Blind Tasting (3 wines) : Colour: pale, no visible carbonation. Nose: not very aromatic, honeydew melon, unripe mango. Taste: fresh, light mango with green notes of pineapple or mango leaf. A little sweetness. 8/18 points. 1st place.

Apple / pear on the nose, more towards citrus on the palette. Nice body, acidic but in a good way. Allegedly has grassy notes - I’m not getting that.

Once agin this wine starts with lemon grass aromas on the nose. Almost fresh squeezed lemon peel right there and up front. I also get some grapefruit. On the tongue the wine is rich with large acidic presence at the start. It reveals less lemon and more grapefruit on the palette. Rich acidity is almost left unchecked and runs rampant through the mid palette. Yet it's finish is much more balanced and is likewise more pleasant. Overall I like it.

Mouthwatering aromas of guava, papaya, and limes are inviting and typical of the Marlborough region. Lithe, crisp, and juicy, the flavors are vibrant and full of intensity. Finishes focused and refreshing.

This 2015 was a rewarding purchase. The nose did not live up to reviews, but everything else did. The nose had faint notes of apple & pear, with even fainter hints of either lavender or rosemary. Make sure not to over-chill this wine, so as to experience the moderate complexity in the structure. Acidity was moderate, well-balanced. The crisp flavors primarily exhibited pineapple, apricot, and grass - but I like about 15 % more grass than this - with faint …

Balanced grassy, mineral, grapefruit and sweetness. Personally prefer the dry, more astringent grassiness of Kim Crawford or Arona, both of which are less expensive and less sweet.

Nose is like fresh cut grass with a squeeze of lemon. Herbaceousness and citrus lead into candied lemon peel and melon on the mid-palate. The finish is lemon zest with a distinct stony minerality.

No doubt what is in your glass here, varietally and regionally correct. Aromas present with lemongrass, grapefruit, lemon and lime zest, subtle grassy and green notes with more of an herbaceous scent reminiscent of rosemary that blend with tropical notes of star fruit, green pineapple and kiwi. On the palate the trademark, brisk, zippy acidity of NZ Sauv. Blanc. Clean flavors of grapefruit, lemon, lime zest, star fruit, lemongrass and kiwi with hints of pine, rosemary and wheatgrass.
