Stylistically definitely a Rolly Gassman wine, with a rich roundness to it rather than the steeliness of some Rieslings of this age. However, and unlike the '17 Pinot Gris, this does have a good streak of sherbet like acidity running through it, which gives backbone, life and a refreshing quality. A great food all rounder for the festive season. Will keep going well for some years.

Interesting savoury note in this 0- gives it an extra dimension. Very good.

Hint of petroleum. Fruity slightly sweet taste.

91 now but with a lot of potential to improve. Slightly reticent but interesting nose - apricot, honey and lemon sweets, flint, something a bit like raw cep. Quite rich and oily, intensely flavoured - honey and lemon again - and with more of an impression of ripeness than sweetness (no idea how much RS there is). Very good but currently in a youthful and relatively ungiving phase, I think with time this could become brilliant.

Wine Education Service - Chase the Grape - Riesling (LSE) : Concentrated, a very broad spectrum of aromas, citrus, sweet, honeysuckle. Honeyed with a great balancing acidity, smooth, grapefruit, delicious, great length.
