Cabernet Franc and Merlot proprietary blend, from non-commercial Pokolbin source. Poured immediately, no decanting. Somewhat closed at first, but opened up nicely over the next half hour. Black cherry, anise, and vanilla oak on the nose which developed some coffee and licorice characteristics later. Fruit forward and spice mid-palate, medium bodied with a delicate mouthfeel. Nicely integrated soft tannic structure for a young wine. Medium length finish with some subtle earthy flavors lingering, instead of any heat. Throws a small …
