Riesling Kenner’s Tasting of 2024 Falkenstein Wines (Easy Does It, Chicago) : Light color. More earth aromas along with some orange peel. Attractive feel. Just off dry, rapier-like acidity, vivid citrus zest. Not as much soil on the flash but some late slatey notes. Did I mention the acidity? Wow, another one for acid heads. Thrillingly dynamic wine.

Riesling near perfection. Lemon, lime and zest, honey wax and minerals on the nose. Lemon, sour green apples and almost zingy acid with some hidden sweetness - stays on for a long time.

Absolute stunner. This wine is everything. The acid is addicting on this. Packs so much in life in 8%. Love it.

Ungrafted vines in the Zuckerberg sector of the Niedermenniger Herrenberg. A superbly chiselled wine of great precision, which delivers its intensity with only 7% ABV. Wonderfully complex aromas on the nose driven more by the soil than by the grape; delicately succulent orchard fruits and zesty citrus on the smoky palate, the sweetness is perfectly integrated and only serves the fruit expresson; excellent resonance and length on the finish.
