A bit thin. Earthy tones on the nose. Fruit very muted. Good acidity which saves it as a food wine. Does not have the bright fruit I'm used to in Gamay. Perhaps it is too old. Some black raspberry and cherry on the finish. Not a dumper, but I'm not rushing to buy it again.

I was pleased with the 2010. It didn't compare to the 2009, but still a solid bottle with lovely Beaujolais character.

Perfumed with some spice. Tannins are soft and ready to drink. In a good spot.

Nice perfume, though a bit too much alcohol on the nose. The alcohol spoils the taste a bit too, though the cherry and floral notes work well with the tannins to make this an interesting wine to drink. I'd wait a couple of years, by which time it should resolve into something even more pleasant. The rating is meant for its present qualities, not for the future.

Starts rich and focused but quickly fades showing earthy, mineral edges on a short finish. Lean but still inviting. At $8 makes for a nice, food friendly table wine. Would buy a few more if I could…

Third Annual Holiday Party (The House - Woodley Park) : Classic Dubouef aromas of bubblegum, grape candy and plums. The palate shows easy-drinking tannins and plenty of blue and purple fruit. It's fun, but it lacks the complexity and verve of a lot of 2010 Morgons. Not bad for $13, but there are a lot more 2010 Beaujolais wines I'd rather drink.

meh. I compared to the 2009 "vintage of a lifetime" and agree that this year it's unremarkable. Decent for a light $12 bottle, but I have had much better in this price range and flavor profile.

Nice, but I think the 2009 was much better. Not as much expressiveness/richness and a shorter finish here, although this is still quite a nice Beaujolais.

No formal notes. Not bad. Berries, flowers, and a touch of earth. Nice structure and will probably be better in a couple years.

My 3 year-old hit the nail on the head when she said this wine smells like grapes. I'm also getting a little earth, spice and tart berry. Oddly grapey, but otherwise solid.

Rich and complex. Drinkable enough now but would probably improve with some more bottle age.

Some interesting stuff here, but not really for me. Smells & tastes like violets. A touch of earth on the nose. A bit of grape juice on the palate, which is not a compliment. Finishes smooth, with some herbs. Not as bright as I would have hoped. Ok, but not something I'll buy again.

I actually prefer the 10 to the 09. Go figure. Easy and pleasant to drink. Silky smooth. A nice fruit forward Beaujolais. Might go for a few more bottles due to the QPR.

Lush purple, not much nose, but smooth red fruit and very pleasant.

These Descombes Morgons seem fairly consistent from vintage to vintage. Same red berries, smooth texture, and acidic backbone as both '08 and '09. Not as lushly ripe as the '09, but not bad at all for a '10. ('09 spoiled everyone.) Give it another year then judge it. The '08 (a better comparison) shined when it reached two.

Yuck. Grape-juice-y and thin, definitely filtered. Not what I expect or want from a cru Morgon.

Lacks the lively, well balanced fruit in the 2009 vintage. Felt 'young', and Beaujolais nouveau-ish. Bought 2 bottles to see if it was anything like the 2009 since it was selling at Costco for $11. No case buys on this for me.
