Cornerstone's first vintage...and still strutting its stuff. It was a mature yet expressive wine with a fragrant nose, balanced, lovely red fruit, mouth coating, and a nice finish. It was decanted - cork was saturated and broke apart. It started to fade after about 45 minutes, but it was a joy before then. If you have this wine, I believe it's time to drink up. It was my last 750ml, but nothing to be sad about. It was lovely...proving again …

My last bottle...@thegracchi nailed it.... this is liquid silk. Somehow the nose is very primary full of powerful raspberry and cherry aromas that just draw you in. It's complex and beautifully structured. This bottle still has some tannins that could see the wine through for another few years.... these old Cornerstones have always been just phenomenal.

Stunning. Silky, mature, still lot's of fruit, but complemented by great secondary flavor. Complex, sexy, delicious. Penultimate bottle... !

Absolutely delicious, complex, and liquid silk. I don't know why I rated this only 93 last bottle. This time I opened the bottle and let it sit in the bottle for two hours before pouring. One of the most enjoyable Cabernets I've ever tasted.

This is a wonderful wine. Brownish tint. Very aged. Silky texture. It took 20 minutes out of the bottle for a slightly sour smell to blow off and the wine to gain focus. Thereafter it was delicious and complex. We have four more bottles and will post more notes only if our impressions of those are different.

Fill into neck; perfect cork. Decanted 3 hours before tasting. Clear deep dark garnet, more youthful than expected. Ripe, jammy bouquet of black fruit, toasty oak, dark spices, and oyster shells. Bold, luscious, opulent, full-bodied on the palate. Not as good the following day. Outstanding wine.
