Kuentz-Bas Muscat Tradition

Significantly better than last time (or my taste buds are waning). Slight spritz. Light golden color. Seemed richer with more body. Altogether a delicious wine. Sorry that I have no more.

Pleasant, light wine. Started out a bit nondescript, but Alsasian flavors came out over the course of the evening. The wine was a bit light for the dinner -- chicken-peanut curry over rice and veggies. Still, a good wine that doesn't show any signs of fading.

Crisp wine. Acid and apples. Would work well with the right food. It wasn't perfect with the green chili chicken. Needed more fruit. But a good low-cost riesling. Gassed and in the fridge, enjoyed it with pork 'n kraut and potato/radish pancakes with apple butter. <blink> The apples in the wine meshed with the dinner perfectly. The wine smoothed out, as well. Nice, clean, very typical Alsace Riesling. Mineral, citrus, apple, and floral notes. A nicely balanced dry-ish wine. Drinking well now. Not likely to improve much with more cellar time.

Really nice, aromatic petrol/citrus nose; granny smith apple and mineral palate with good concentration and an ample acid structure lending to a medium to medium-long finish. This is really interesting stuff, refreshingly different (literally). A nice a change of pace from German Rieslings.

Popped and poured, followed for approximately one hour. Pungent nose of citrus; lemon, lime, grapefruit; minerals, petrol and spice. On the palate, nicely textured, showing fresh notes of citrus, spice and minerals. Mouthwatering acidity, no tannin, and moderate length finish.

Lemon with honeyed follow up; deep and round with some crust.

Tasty. Finally, they got the price down. Works at $17, much better at $15.

Winebow Trade Tasting (Palomar Hotel) : Fruity nose but incredibly dry on the palate. Not a huge fan of Muscat, but this made me take notice.

Unremarkable, but nicely ripe Riesling. Screaming deal, and a happy-friendly wine.

Bright. Clean. High acid. Dry. Piercing, yummy. 89+

Acidic lemony and with grapefuit; developed a bit soother as it lingered.

Very nervous and without any evolution to the wine. But a nice vintage showing off its fruit. Very intense and with a long finish. Very nice for $16.

nice red delicious nose. Clean, with nice fruit on the palate.
