Dominique Laurent Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir Vieilles Vignes

An excellent wine - the wine is fresh and elegant - medium acidity - you get lemon, ripe pear, chalk and hazelnutt - also clearly some chalk. A well balanced wine that deserves solid 93 - there is more to come from this great wine.

Fresh and delicate, with a good intensity compared to the average Chablis. Medium to medium+ acidity, beautifully integrated. It delivers lemon, semi-ripe pear, chalk, some wood, a hint of hazelnut and a little bitterness towards the end. Good balance, where the acidity provides a refreshing experience in the end. Good complexity and depth the relative young age taking into consideration. Drinks very well at this point, but can clearly be saved as well.
