As McCabe said, not a lot of fruit. A little one dimensional. My only bottle so gone forever. Not a bad thing. Not worth an evening, but serviceable. Someone else liked it a little better than I did, but wasnt that impressed either.

My last bottle from a case. This one was better than recent ones - a bit more well-rounded. Feels more from a cooler climate, a bit steely - not a lot of fruit, short finish. Nice enough but nothing special.

A bit drab and flat, lacking intensity and not particularly attractive or exciting. Has a perfumy note, some slight dryness. There is some quality but the fruit just doesn't seem to have much energy and verve.

Will not tank a score on this as my bottle was corked even though the cork was perfectly in tact and tight. But I like this wine and winemaker normally. {Sigh}

seems like something else in here is dominating the cab. it's balanced though and drinking nicely. dark fruit, dusty tannins and a medium plus finish

Still needs a long decant, and this wine's best days may lie ahead of it. Significantly better on Day 2. Rich and complex with a nice spicy note, and smooth tannins on the finish. Leans toward the red fruit end of the Cab spectrum.

Better than the last one I had. Slightly spicy, medium-bodied, polished.

This wine has certainly evolved since my last tasting notes in 2012. It still requires several hours in the decanter or cellared for another year or two. It's definitely not a PNP. Dense, dark and full-bodied, the fruit has now come forward and becoming rich and lush in style. The coarse tannins noted in 2012 have backed off considerably. 92+ and possibly higher in a couple of years. Update: 11/01/2016 - MY 93 - complex and elegant with assertive tannins …

This is one of the few wines I've had that seems to go downhill over time. I've no idea what posessed me to buy a case of this. It's hard to believe that this is from a heralded vintage. There are far better wines for less money. This is banal, uninspired, forgettable, lightweight and lacks any real personality. While it's smooth, it's also pretty boring. It's a reminder for me that I'm finding far more interesting wines from Bordeaux and …

Had this tonight with a ribeye. Wine is bold, pepper, blueberry, licorice. This wine needs to sit until 2019 or longer. Patience will be rewarded.

wow, this is progressing nicely. green pepper and jalapeno on the nose with blackberry on the palate. tannins are starting to smooth out a bit but still needs 1-2 more years to reach peak in my opinion. really great cab, especially for $40. my next bottle will be in q3 2015 (or thereabouts).

Similar to previous note - a bit lightweight and not so serious right out of the bottle, though it does gather some poise and backbone after an hour or so open.

Its just about year since my last notes, flavor notes seem to be similar but I sense that its gaining some depth and opened up earlier. Fruit forward in nature, darker fruit dominant, midpalate is bit disjointed and the tannins to mellow out to gain a higher score. Finish is solid. Moved it up a point to 92. -S

Dark crimson color. Decanted for two hours, This has a nose dominated by oaky vanilla aromas with undercurrents of red fruit, poblano peppers, and a woody sweetness. This is deep and dark on the palate, with a reprise of the sweet note on the back of the tongue. Long, persistent finish (seven seconds), though slightly bitter, with tart tannins. Good potetial here, but needs a few years for some of the coarse edges on the palate to round out.

A bit lightweight, no real trace of oak, lacking real structure, too soft.

PnP and found to be very tannic with little fruit showing. Decanted and after a couple hours the tannis started to calm down. Better on day 2 with with fruit opening up and tannins softend further. Obviously this wine has not evolved enough for my tastes and will cellar until 2014 and try again.

The best showing yet for this wine. Big and rich, a little jammy but delicious with burgers and asparagus on the grill.

Dark fruit all the way. Like last time a tad bit of alcohol still lingers that gets in the way of this showing its stuff.

Pretty one-dimensional. Lots of fruit, cassis, berry, roasted plum. But hardly anything to support it.
