Intense dark fruits on the nose with prunes, tobacco, fresh sawn vanilla-soaked timber, a hint of musk, and a touch of rubber. Good open palate. Lots of black fruit. Very muscular and masculine with pretty firm, grippy tannins on the finish. Lovely sourness to the fruit on the finish. Very, very persistent length.

Napa Mountains and Mixed Cabs : Nice chalk nose with hints of prune. Nicely rounded tannins with acidity still keeping its strength. 7/10. This could rise back to a 91.

Garnet red. Nose started out with some woody notes, mulberries and soft dark fruits like plums. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) and good acidity. Solid red fruits and some twigs on the palate. Medium bodied and moderate finish. There is something a little off-putting in the finish, a little metallic. Drink now.

This is a beautiful blend drinking very well right now but it has legs to last longer than others think. It is very well balanced in spite of a 14.5% alcohol content. The dark chocolate, black cherry and cassis were upfront in the glass and mouth. Smokey vanilla on the nose. The fruit was on the edge of "just right" and "too much". Day 2 the fruit had pulled back just a bit and it really sings today.

One of the better reds I have had in south Africa, Jordan is famous for white wines but in my books this should be one of their flagship wines

After long aeration, the rubbery-leather aromas fade away to a considerable extent, giving way to cassis, cedar and red berries aromas. Improved aftertaste too, in the same sence as the nose. Otherwise, my previous note applies. +2 points for improved nose and aftertaste.

Garnet. Cassis and cedar wood aromas overshadowed by rubber and leather. Mid-bodied and round, balanced with silky tannins, good fruit and high acidity. Long finish. A very well made wine, but this rubbery smell is somewhat annoying...At its best right now.
