Villard Estate L'Assemblage Grand Vin

91+ Obvious class winemaking - structure, elegance at 13.5% abv. May have preferred more fruit and younger, or in five years. Effortless drinking 🍷 Nosel: Heady mix of plum, leather, earthy, dry cinnamon bark, and a background of blue fruit poking through. Pal: Full but elegant. Mainly tertiary character. Smashed red berries, blackcurrant and plum skin up front, quickly to leathery grain med tannin/acid structure, wood shavings, granite, dead leaves. Fin: Long, dry, subtle creamy oak and blueberry.
