September BYO (Ole Johan) : Dark red. Nose with sweet and sour fruit, leather, stable, and some green notes. The taste is like sucking on a saddle - a combination of horse and leather.

By the glass ( reportedly opened not that long ago albeit only the divine know what that means in India ) at Les Alizes @ Palau’s de Mahe, Pondicherry. Proudly says “In Collaboration with Michel Rolland” and frankly it feels like it, polished , good use of oak , rich well ripe fruit and with a good feel all across . Wine-Pages Nottingham Offline (Pretty Orchid Restaurant, Nottingham) : This has sweet, round, fresh blackcurrant and blackberry fruit on the nose with quite a sweet feel. Good, even palate. Very international. Absolutely fine, but it could be from anywhere. It's a nice wine for drinking/knocking back without worrying too much about what you think about it.

Cabernet Blends Tasting (Cornell Wine Company) : Red wine from India? Yep. And quite tasty too! They list the infamous Michel Rolland as a consultant on the bottle's label. Smooth drinking blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon/35% Shiraz. Dark red fruit and spice are the main components. Finish was fairly short however, and had some heat.
