According to my note five years ago, this wine was good then. Well the half bottle I just bought six months ago is not any good. Drinkable in a literal sense I suppose. But there's no pleasure in it. HUGE disappointment as I paid $30 for the half bottle! It should not have been on the shelf anymore.

Dependable grosso nose, cork a bit dry but no leakage. A bit of a brown tinge in the glass but still tight as a drum. Tuscan spices. To add to the contradictions, having it w tuna and calamari. - Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of fig, black currant, cloves and molasses. It's overly acidic and has flavours of bell pepper with a light/medium body. Angular texture with a short finish.

First Brunello experience so, I'm definately no expert here, but loved this bottle of wine. Purchased in a half bottle and decanted for an hour before drinking. Definate Licorice, menthol nose with cherry and spice. Well integrated and enjoyable wine!

Richness and tannins are the hallmarks of this delicious wine, which is ready to drink. Its tannic acids will help it age even longer too, if you prefer. Popped and poured. This wine would excellently accompany a Prime Delmonico, even though it might would overpower a Select Filet Mignon. Very good to excellent (87.5).

At Strada Resturant, Sherwood Forest Center Parcs - £30. No formal note. Attractive, pure, slightly creamy red fruit, strawberry and red cherry, hints of vanilla, spice and a slightly toasted, bitter edge. Medium + bodied on the palate, this has lovely fresh acidity but is also relatively rich for a Rosso, attractive pure fruit, vanilla notes, an attractive herbal, bitter edge, maybe lacks a little punch on the mid palate and there are certainly some slightly prominent tannins on the …
