Simply beautiful. Dark cherry, cedar, anise flavors fill the palate with firm tannins. Excellent balance not over oaky with very nice fruit. I think this is aging beautifully and has a few more years yet to go.

Classic aromas of red fruits, cigar box and spice, followed by a seamless & silky mid-palate rich with raspberry, cherry and spice flavors that hold on the finish.

This is our last of these which is almost sad since they've been go to daily drinkers for years. It's such an easy drinker. Nice fruit characteristics. Drinking well now. Doesn't seem like it will get much better so drink up!

Full bodied Pinot with dark red fruit notes: subtle leather undertones. Wish I had more.

Color: crimson color almost to the edge but a faint pinkish rim. Nose: Raspberry, Oak, Tree bark, mushroom. Palate: Cherries dominate the red fruit flavors, with an earthy funkiness and a soft spice on the back end. Finish: Medium to long and a bit hot, it certainly lived up to its 14.5%. Overall this was a really great wine but it was hefty so pair with grilled steaks or lamb chops. Enjoy!

Attractive, sweet berries on the nose with a powerful collection of ripe, but balanced, fruit. Tannins are collected and work to produce a cab drinker's pinot. Enjoyable. Score [50 + 5 + 12 + 16 + 8 ] = 91.

Enjoyed this quite a bit, this is definitely a cab drinkers pinot. not meek in any way. I was surprised with just how much oak was showing here. A good amount, yet it worked very nicely. quite happy with this.

Drank in Nov 2013. Incredibly smooth after just opening. Soft suede, earth and light fruit nose. On the pallets, velvet, red currant, cocoa finish.

Needs a couple hours to soften. Very annic and powerful and a little too much for my palate after tasting several times now. a little one dimensional but still very good. Not the layering of flavors I like.

Nice wine with cola, cranberry, cherry and a rustic edge. Medium to long finish and should age well over the next five years.

Echo Markelln. No need to open these right now. Give them 3-5 years and they will be singing.

I think there was something wrong with this bottle. Very tart and sharp. I have had other Dierberg Pinots that were terrific but not this bottle

Dark earthy notes with very black fruit bordering on earthy, roasted coffee notes. And some spritz on the back of the palate. I wonder if the bottle is flawed.

Decanted. Savory. Strawberry flavor, some acidity. Should mature well. I'll put my other 3 to sleep.
