A nice surprise this was quite elegant and tasty reminded me of a 12-15 year old red Burgundy in it's texture and could have fooled many in a blind tasting. The winery disappeared out of the scene in around 2010 and I am not sure what happened -did they get purchased or morphed into another winery?

Ten Year Oregon Pinot Retrospective (02 and ealier) (Lou's) : Ruby/purple in color. The nose has powdered cherries. With air, there is some complexity here. A bit thin on the palate. Plenty of acid. A little cough syrupy but some nice cherry fruit. Drink up.

Mainly pungent aromas; prunes, Chinese preserved plums (rock salt plum), maduro wrapped cigar, soy, barnyard, and there is a little fruitiness of blackberries and black cherry. Gripping flavors on palate; plum, overrripe cherries, tannins, and a sourness on finish.

A very reticent wine. Initially, very little fruit and an odd, metallic finish. After an hour open, rasberries, chocolate, and prunes dominate... but only if you keep swirling your glass. Otherwise the wine retreats by a factor of two. If you are looking for an alternative to candied, fruit-forward PN, this might be for you. But it might also send you scurrying for a bottle of Ken Wright or Chalone.

Last night was one of those Seattle Summer nights we just love and with guests from India, what a night to share! Mid 70's, a breeze off the Lake and barely a cloud. We dined alfresco and sipped a konsgaard to start the evening. The Pinot was served with salmon and a selection of fruit and pasta salads. This was a pretty bottle full or fresh raspberries; in fact it reminded me of Anne Gros' Chambolle Musingy without the punch. …

Poured from magnum for a family event. Initially light in character with bright cherry notes. Dad and I weren't overly impressed. As time passed, the wine fleshed out and gained weight. Never becoming overly rich, but quite flavorful with the pork roast. Drink through2010.
