We probably enjoyed this more than if we’d drunk it sooner. It was subtler than expected — definitely not a fruit and alcohol bomb. Fully resolved, with tertiary notes of earth, dried figs, and a bit of smoke. Not bad at all!

Light tannins, which was great.

Need to be patient with this wine and let oxygen do its job for at least 30-45m. It is also an interesting experience to sample as it takes its journey from just being open to a properly oxygenated and quite decent cabernet.

Overall very good with food. Just let it breathe for 30+ minutes.

A party gift that has been in the cellar for 1 1/2 years. Good color but was harsh and bitter. It’s the thought that counts, I guess...

Decent cab blend that has structure behind muted fruit. Great QPR and weeknight drinker

Deep purple to the edge. Alcohol/heat dominates the nose. Fruit up front with heavy spice and a short sour finish. Meh.

Stewed fruit, licorice, spice supported by oak and a bit of dust. Nice weeknight bottle of wine

For the money this vintage is a winner. Don't care for the '15 but this is pretty decent.

Fruit Forward CA Cab. Balanced, , good QPR.

Way too young to drink now. Tough and bitter. Better after 6 hours of air.

Well balanced fruit/tannins, but depressingly simple structure. Moderate finish. Not worth the $20 I paid for it, even on sale.

Favorite but 2014 not as good as 2013

Pretty straightforward Napa cabernet made in the typical international style -- heaps of fruit and sweetness and just way, way, way too bitter on the finish, whether it's from the oak or whatever else. Pass.

Impulse buy, based on the name from back in the day. Quite good QPR. An earthy nose leads to tastes of dark fruits, vanilla, leather, with a nice finish. Plenty of tannins to help this last a few more years.

I nice everyday wine, shared with several folks, all liked it. Attractive price for a decent Cab

Very acceptable round cabernet, especially for the price. Rushed purchase at Cost Plus, but was happy to see CT gave it an 88 which I think is close.

Good everyday cabernet. Used an aerator but no decant. I have a cold but I picked up some berry and vanilla on the nose (don't think it was the Nyquil). Smooth finish and not heavily tannic. Good QPR.

Dark berry and cocoa, but tannins and heavy alcohol make it top heavy. Not as smooth as I hoped. Vizcaya and Kunde better.

Big rich ripe fruit, dark berry/cherry, a little jammy/over extracted. A bit tannic at this age (that's a good thing) but mainly smooth rich soft ripe flavors. Inky purple color. Not much nose. Good PQR at $20. Good with food. A fat, rich but simple wine, maybe a little out of balance (bloated) but pleasant enough.

Really good value. Tannic & oaky with good fruit.
