Very good. Nice wine at remarkable price from Pikes. 13% alc. Short term old French oak seasoning, seems to have been influential on nose and palate. Colour: mid light crimson red berries Bouquet: rich spicey red berries, blueberry and raspberry, touches of sharp burnt toffee and dark chocolate, some oak character, very aromatic. Smells as if barrels were charred significantly. Palate: similar to bouquet, raspberry, black cherry and oak characters, with mint, leather, sharp fresh acid, and very long finish. …
