Light golden in colour. Light floral, citrus and spiced profile on the nose. Peppery. Very focused on the palate. Good energy. An underlying sunshine on the palate. The acidity really gives an extra dimension. Citrus, apple and a touch of gunflint on the finish. Very impressive. Fantastic QPR.

Loved this, golden colour, with spice, crushed rocks, hay, lemon rind and red apple skin on the nose, similar palate that generous but still bone dry with high acidity and long fruit filled finish

Lean and acidity-driven expression of Chenin Blanc. Despite being less expressive the wine still packed with impressions and depth! For this wine, the more air the better. Lovely wine.

1/3. Pale lemon in appearance. Fresh on the nose with aromas of honeysuckle and pear, quite aromatic. On the palate there is initially a bit of spritz which I quite liked, followed by lots of acidity and subtle flavours of pears, peach and orange. Quite smooth and also weighty on the palate. Drunk over two nights and while excellent on the first it certainly had more character and complexity on the second. This has bags of time ahead of it …

Well! Bottle #2 of this wine since last July's notes . On nose and palate: very consistent, very balanced, fruit, oak, acidity, herbs, minerals and floral nuances intact....great food wine with Salmon, Sea Bass or cold Chicken...I have 2 more bottles!

My third encounter with the wines of Chris and Suzaan Alheit...... Very different from the Cartology Bush vines blend, and a cut above the Nautical Dawn Chenin...... On nose: light but present toasted oak and faint dry wisp of vanilla. On palate : follow through of above notes ,with elegant notes of red apple, faint ginger and clean lemon , woven into notes of steely minerals and a refreshing but not sharp acidity.....the persoification of " balance". Absolutely one of the best Chenin Blancs i have tasted. Very elegant, nice peach and pear with some floral and herbal notes.

Sampler quarterly. Lime. Rich, oak, m+ acidity, dry finish. 89-90.
