Dark very deep purple colour with a thin crimson hue. Dry aroma, tobacco, varnish, forest floor, dry cedar. Plum, blackberry, milk chocolate. Smooth finish, medium body. Persistent fine grained tannin, fresh acidity. Not everything sits together, a few more years may help, my only bottle though. Interesting and enjoyable but not great.

Dark ruby colour. Aroma of dry straw, spice, black berries, tar, intoxicating. Plum, blueberry, blackberry, brambles. Medium body, powdery tannin, balanced acidity. This is day 3 and much improved for it. Requires good breathing time.

Dark crimson purple colour, not dense at all. Nice aroma of sweet tobacco, spice and black pepper, stewed plums and grilled meat. Does not require any decanting, beautiful from the first taste. Sweet, but just right. Plum, raspberry, blueberry, even some mulberry. Milk chocolate, olive to finish. Medium body, fine gritty tannin. Perfectly balanced acidity. Beautiful wine, very impressed. There is no age to this wine yet and is better for it, recommend you drink some young to enjoy. Great …

Black crimson with a thin red hue. Dry aroma full of pepper, spice and plum. Very smooth, creamy tannin, well balanced. Plum, blueberry, milk chocolate. Full body, long finish. Some breathing time takes the edge off the finish. Beautiful wine. Love it. I had a Petersons Hunter 14 Shiraz a couple of nights ago. Whereas the Petersons was overdeveloped and almost fortified, this ones is young and full, fresh and slightly sweet.

the intensity of colour and fruit is hard to believe for a cool climate shiraz In the tasting room, soft spicy tannins stand out in a mid-weight offering that is good but not especially remarkable. With food, it demonstrates its versatility. Lovely balance, intense blackcurrant flavours around controlled acidity. Long, moving into a spicy juicy finish. This has become one of my benchmarks. Rating is a compromise between tasting room (good) and bottle with food (outstanding)
