Pale yellow-straw. Reserved aroma that makes me think of peach pits — some unripe peach but also a certain fleshy bitterness. Tart flavors of unsweet nectarines perhaps, with some almond in the finish. The Ribolla Giallas from Collio are more compelling but also more expensive.

Tastes like someone took a perfectly good ribolla gialla and watered it down to 4/5 strength. Thin, flabby, boring, flat. No signs of cork / taint issues -- just a poor quality wine. Disappointing to say the least.

This is lighter and less substantial than I Clivi's 2017 verduzzo and malvasia. It has 11.5 % alcohol and has much less concentration and extract, and a more watery texture. It is certainly not bad, just nowhere near the quality of the other wines.

A musty nose of overripe pears and apples. The palate is dry, with lemon and hay notes, followed by a saline finish. I understand that this was a challenging vintage, so perhaps this is atypical. The wine was interesting, but I got the impression that this was an off year and that future vintages will bring even more interesting wines
