Fabulous everyday easy drinking starter wine before you go to the Barbaresco and Barolo's!

Nice effort by Brezza. A wine with lighter red body but copious fruits and tannins to have with cold cut meats and cheeses. Medium to light wine, easy drinking and needs food alongside.

Easy drinking Nebbiolo without the bells and whistles. You want this at a seafood lunch with calamari, black bean sauce fish or shell foods and steamed prawns!

Light red hue Nebbiolo, not concentrated. Fresh acidity and perfect accompaniment to tomato-based pasta or pizza dishes. This is an unusual red nebbiolo wine, more on the younger pinot noir type. Not to my liking.

Drank over two days. Day One was enjoyable if simple. Day Two wine became flabby with subdued flavors.

Wine Group Dinner (Absinthe, SF) : Confected red fruit, some heat; palate is medium-bodied, high alcohol that shows, ripe red fruits; short finish. Entry-level, shows too much alcohol. 80

This one’s aged only in stainless steel so it’s all pure Nebb fruit that you get. It is fresh and fruity with a touch of aniseed. It is relatively full in the mouth and there are gentle, skinsy tannins drying off the finish.

Deep raspberry colour. Nose: alcohol, some red berries. Taste: very dry, but qiute light tannins. Rather no fruit and it stiff. Anyway good for variety of food.

I don’t have a whole lot to say about this. Nice freshness, very bright. Medium body, medium acidity. Didn’t particularly stand out. In this case perhaps the vintage is to blame, or perhaps it was the company—other people visiting the winery at the same time who spent most of the time swigging and talking about how drunk they were getting on their trip. Much lighter and simpler than I remember at the vineyard.

One bottle was quite good, the other one very much less so.

Bottled 2 month ago from 15 year old vines from the San Lorenzo vineyard. Extremely light and fresh. Cherries, chocolate, rosehip, restrained nose. Good acidity, light structure. Decent but lacks body.
