This was supposed to be dead. I anticipated pouring down the drain but it is surprisingly drinkable. Slightly smoky nose. Barnyard. Lean. But drinkable for sure

Think we held this too long. Pepper and spice but no fruit left. Too much sediment and very acidic tasting. Had to relegate tocooking

Old School Wineauxs do Rhones (The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch) : Tight nose barely giving up anything. Lean feeling with a good grip and a nicely complex finish of pepper and bright cherries. I think this needs a couple more years to unwind.

drank without food, delicious wine. Chocolate on the nose, rounded body and not fruity. Very good. Some thought decanting/some air time would be beneficial. Remainder at J/G so unless they report in tomorrow...

Served this with a smoked beer-can chicken. Was a nice match with the meal. Quite full-bodied; blackberries & cherries with some nice leathery,tobacco-y spiciness. This was well-received by the entire crew.

I didn't take good notes, but I liked this wine when I drank it.

Nice rounded fruit flavor profile with subtle minerality. Could use a little more acidity. I think it will peak over the next 12 months. Great value.

Plum spice and menthol on the nose. A hint of leather. Plum and dark fruits on the palate with sooth tannins and a medium finish. This seems to be smoothing out since the last bottle.

A little unbalanced for me. Too much toward the "fatness/richness" side of things without the freshness to bolster. Probably will bring the other bottle to a BBQ, or something like that--would be enjoyable with "bold" cooking.

Way more on the nose this time than my first bottle. Blackberry, plum, spice and a touch of menthol. With time in the glass settling down to dark fruits. Dark garnet in color, no clouding. Fruits with clearly present tannin with a little bitterness on the finish. Medium body, tight, somewhat astringent mouthfeel. I'm liking this bottle better than the last two.

I expected a wine with more tannin. It is, however, quite subtle and soft in the frit which I enjoyed. It also has a very nice mineral presence, no doubt from the terroir where the grapes were cultivated.

Big, bold, & rich. A nice cocktail wine that will turn your teeth purple. Modestly tannic and a bit fat, but a great buy from Garagiste non-the-less.

Nothing apparent on the nose. Ruby in color, dark fruits, mild acidity, paired well with dinner. This wine didn't impress me and as my first purchase from garagiste, I'm wondering why.

Disappointing. Dark red color. Very bland nose with dark fruits. Medium to full body with mild dark fruits and a strong mineral undertone. Somewhat short dry finish.

Mildly disappointed, especially since everything else from Garagiste has been so good. Decent but simple.

Dark purple center with pretty garnet at the edge. Floral, herbs, and minerals on the nose. Palate is a bit on the light side, with pleasing but underwhelming red fruit at the core. The story here, though, is a highly refined smoothness and finesse in the body. Nice find by Garagiste and a good deal.
