Saintsbury Pinot Noir Pommard Clones Roberts Road Vineyard

Drinking very nicely now if you like aged Pinots. Tobacco, cherry, raspberry, hint of smoke, balanced acidity. Nice finish. Ate with grilled salmon with a balsamic reduction. On the lighter side. Saintsbury makes their Pinots to age, but I would not cellar this much longer.

Decanted one hour. Nose: under ripe raspberry, strawberry and fig. Cola, caramel and lead pencil. Taste: strawberry rhubarb, tangerine, orange peel. Hard caramel candies, baking spice, leather. Great acidity and nice finish. It's young, but it's showing very nicely right now Loving this new addition to the Saintsbury lineup.
