Not bad. Leans and good minerality on the nose. A bit fuller on the palate with an edge of austerity on the finish.

Sadness - oxidized, not very obvious, but the flavor and depth that the wine had from barrel was gone from this particular bottle.

Very fresh citrus nose, after an hour more complexity showed up, with some white flowers and orchard fruit. Medium body with good depth for the level and very lively acidity for a 09, very good and will improve in a few years.

HDH auction tasting at Tru (Chicago, IL) : Pale colour. Classic Puligny nose. Gun flint, egg custard, and pineapple aromas. On the palate, this is clearly a big and cumbersome wine (reflecting the vintage, perhaps) but there is definitely enough acidity to prevent this from becoming a disaster. Very dominant oak -- this strikes me as astringent and cumbersome, as well as slightly hot as the alcohol feels disjointed.
