Domaine Lelievre Pinot Noir Côtes de Toul

PnP after dinner with some goat cheese and crackers. Color is transparent garnet to ruby-red with a thin strip of liquid orange at the edge. Aromas of cherry, black cherry, freshly cut log, some wet earth and hint of menthol. On the palate fruit, wood, vanilla, light+ acid, light+ tannin, Notes of richness to the fruit. Quite nice.

PnP and let sit for a couple of minutes. Color is deep, ruby red or garnet fading through bright red to a strip of orange at the edge. A little closed initially the wine is still somewhat reticent to reveal aromas with swirling. On the palate bright, tart cherry with some dirt, mild tannin, subtle spices. Drinking with baked chicken and roasted broccolini and cheese and crackers. This was good.

Chilled for about 30 minutes outside before serving. Color is ruby red with a touch of pink at the edge. Tart cherry, dried cherry, hint of iron and dirt, some savory herb. Lots of rock. Light on the palate with fruit, tart acidity, wet rocks, a brief surge of tannin leaving a slightly mouthwatering finish. As the wine warmed the body remains light.
