Dry, old red fruits, sinewy. Seems tight but its not and indeed probably drinking about right. Seems faded but probably faithful to the style. You do have to think a bit to fully appreciate but does lack spark.

Liked this btl a little less than the previous 4. Still very tasty but not stellar as I remember six months ago. Maybe our bean burgers tonight were a tad less hearty than needed for a prefect pairing?

Brad's btl. This has really improved since I had my last btl 5 months back. Much, much smoother tannins now and more depth. I may open one of mine again soon :). Renewed my faith in this cuvee. In December it was disapointingly simple and chewy.

Really enjoyed this tonight. Flowers and candied red fruits on the nose. Palate is red fruit, good acidity. Strong tannin. This is is a fabulous weeknight wine that is oozing with character.

PnP. I think I romanced myself into expecting way too much from this wine based on some vague memories from btls past. The real thing tonight was less stellar but likely will improve some with btl age and a lot more air. Right now, the tanins are a bit chewy overshadowing the abundant fruit. Could the culprit be the 5% Freisa and / or 80% Dolcetto in the blend that makes this a little less friendly than it should be? …

Ørlite volatil? Marsipan, neglelakk og knuste kirsebær på nese. Myk og innsmigrende inngang, varer lenge og er flott balansert. Nydelig balanserte, diskret og peprete tanniner i avslutning. Både solbær og blåbær og noe rødt, rips? Fin syre. Vellaget og velbalansert i sin klasse - er vel egentlig et godt stykke over sin klasse i sin eleganse.
