Nose shows pencil shavings, blackcurrant, violet, and raspberry jam. Palate shows some strong flavour: mostly blackcurrant cordial, with hints of charred oak and vanilla essence. Flavour is enhanced by sweet alcohol, but marred by harsh tannin and acidity.
