David Arthur Nebbiolo Estate

I have had some good experiences with this wine, but this was not one of them. This was heavy with an almost syrup like consistency. One person drinking this thought it was a Cabernet. Needless to say not what this should be. Not much memorable here to be honest.

In the zone. In a way this is classic nebbiolo from the old world. And in another aspect, this is nouveau-riche. If I was served this wine blind, I would call this an old world wine. Don't know if I would guess Nebb, but perhaps sangiovese. I'm always intrigued with the Napa Italian varieties, with Cimarossa Foglet being my first teeth cut on these wines. - Ruby color. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Round texture - Good clarity, light cherry aromas . Bright red cherry on the tongue. Moderate tannins that need some time to smooth out. Nice, moderately long finish.
