Domaine des Marnes Blanches Savagnin En Quatre Vis

Very yummy Savagnin. Green apple and pith, good acidity and balance. Not super complex but excellent.

Two more bottles, both very good but slightly different. One of the two bottles had hints of dry botrytis -- or at least something with a honeysuckle character -- and felt slightly less dry; the second was comparable to the one from a few weeks ago. Nonetheless, still excellent value for money, complexity, and balance.

Outstanding aromatic complexity and balance, long.

Jura with Wink Lorch (Zoom!) : Relatively dark yellow. Green apples and wet wool on the nose. Lots of mango and pineapple-like acidity but also very savoury on the palate. Long, evolving and unusual. Big, powerful and challenging wine! Loses a bit of focus with air and warmth

Nice but lacks Jura interest/funk - a bit simple with its slightly candied pithy lemon, only very slight oxidation, nice acidity but a little too wide on the palate and without the drive of other great Jura Savagnin's. Pricey for what it is too. There are better
