Bruni Maremma Toscana Plinio

Perfectly winning ripe-style vermentino from the Maremma, redeemed by attractively low alcohol (12.5% labeled). The abundant fruit leaps from the glass: pineapple and orchard, with a background spray of grassy salinity. The fruit flavors are evident in the mouth, and would be cloying if the wine were any heavier than it is. But instead it has a reasonably snappy and light finish that makes it downright pleasant.
