Quattro Mani [toh-kai] Exto Gredic

Nice nuttiness with lemony acidity cutting through.

Turned to vinegar. Returned for credit.

Nutty with some melony mid-palate flavors, high acidity, low alcohol.

Couldn't decide if it was just a really funky taste or whether something was wrong with bottle. Poured out after one glass.

FLAWED. I didn't expect this to be the 2010 that I was pulling off of the shelf. I had this vintage just over a year ago and it was feeling pretty funky then, but now it is just completely unenjoyable. Aldehydic. Not VA particularly, just really, really, really over the edge. I wonder if the synthetic cork is helping the situation?

Usually a fan-freaking-tastic value Tokai/Fruilano. This bottle may be over the hill just a millimeter, or it is the stupid plastic cork (no one should ever use those--do you hear me?!). Anyway, it went down fast and was deliciously tart green apple, spice, with a good medium body and great texture.

Loaded with VA tonight. I'm still enjoying this, but more in the sense of it's sour beer profile. Perhaps this wine wasn't in the best shape tonight.

Candy green apple bomb on the nose. Explosive stuff. Very tart and tangy on the back end. Friulano for the NZ SB set.
