First of 3 (along with 3’17s, $20@) from online clearinghouse #2. On the nose and palate, medium to rich notes of ripe red apples, white pears, white melon, white florals, saline, river rocks and a bit of jasmine. Medium gold, medium to full bodied, medium legs. Medium+ acidity with no heat. VG complexity, intensity and persistence. Short-ish note here, as I made short work of 3 bottles of the ‘17 of this bottling and now moving 2 years on. Similar …

This wine is very typical of a higher quality Carneros chardonnay. It has the typical flavor profile, and a ripeness that gives it its 14.5% alcohol. It displays plenty of oak, and has a rich consistency. The finish is generous, but it has a component that is biting to me.
