Disg. 06/23 (2019 base with 18% 2018). From Hermonville in northern Montagne de Reims. This particular bottle was 37% PN, 40% PM, 23% CH. This one is minerally with stone fruit and some sharp vegetal edges. It's not my favorite style of champagne. A bit akin to a Sauvignon Blanc in terms of taste profile. Not super ripe so my sense is 0 dosage didn't help here.

This expression of F & R Miniere’s “Brut Zero” has a 2016 base vintage with just over 20% of the 2015 vintage. This is my second time enjoying this cuvée and I like it even more now than I did three years ago. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. 82/18 2019/2018; 37/40/23 PN/PM/C. 8 months in oak, no malo. Bottled 5/2020; disgorged 11/2023, zero dosage. Very briefly, a little tart on first opening, but with air becomes quite a mellow and rounded zero dosage: quite rich fruit and a smooth but crisp mouthfeel. Good with food. OK QPR at the ~US$54 that I paid.

01/22 disgorgement. 06/18 bottling. 76% 2017. 24% 2016. 41% Pinot noir. 36% Pinot meurnier. 23% Chardonnay No malo. Vinified and matured in oak. Zero dosage. Copper tinged. Biscuity saline sea breeze nose, apricot kernel. Lively palate, as others have note hints of oak and apricot, saline, biscuit with air, creamy body, persistent mineral finish. Delightful.

A nicely executed brut zero. As another user diligently noted wood has been used and it is very evident with its apricot character. Indeed, the wood is not fully integrated yet on mine bottling which is a vintage 2015 (73%) and 2014 (27%). However, sapidity and acidity keep in balance the wood for a very pleasant wine. 1/3 pinot noir, 1/3 meunier, 1/3 chardonnay. No malo indeed.

2016 base (79%) with 21% reserve wines from 2015. Assembled from 30% pinot noir, 35% pinot meunier, 35% chardonnay, and disgorged 08/2021 with no dosage. Third experience with the Minière Zero following the 2008 and 2012 base, and like those wines it drinks well despite being the lack of evolution - it's certainly not overly austere or masochistic to breach at this stage. Base 2009 with 15% of 2008, disgorged in may 2016. A lot of everything - acidity, red berries, lemon, harshly autolytic, oak but not in a way that it is well rounded. Not really to my taste.

Surprisingly fruitful on the palate showing yellow apples and with a very dry and crisp lemon peel bitterness on the distinct finish. This is one of the bottles I brought back from Hermonville that I purchased at Miniere. Disgorged 03/2017 with 80% from 2010 and 20% from 2009.
