A really amazing wine - last bottle just drunk. I think Duval Leroy were the makers and I know the Waitrose Champagne Buyer was Dee Winstock or similar. Amazing VFM - I doubt i will get another wine at this quality/price point.

Very mature now and rich/mellow but i can't believe how well this has aged and what amazing VFM it has been. The buyer at Waitrose - a lady called i think Dee Winestock - knew her stuff

Lovely rich mature champagne, acacia honey, brioche, smoke on the nose, medium body, muted bubbles, subtle, mellow and lingering, but probably time to drink up. Excellent.

Still super wine. Now very bread and beastie. I would drink any remaining before end 17.

Its an amazing wine for price, actually regardless of price. I suspect nobody has any left but this tonight was STILL fab taste with traditional rich buscyity flavours or YUM.

Remains a great wine and amazing VFM. Bread-y and rich on nose. Great mousse still.

The last bottle of many. This last one was great, not showing the over-aged richness of one or two recent others. This was really really good VFM. Highly recommended if you have any left.

Definitely going over now and need to drink last bottle soon. Been a pretty good and VGVFM stalwart mind you.

Still continues to delight although the bottle variation is becoming quite marked. This one was on the very rich, buttery side and would have made a good food wine - except we had it as a delightful aperitif! Drink up any you have in next few months

Although it should be past its best this is drinking very well; great mousse and v rich on palate. I suspect i will see bottle variation now though so will continue to get thru these remaining few.

V nice still but definitely going over the top. Loosing fizz and getting a tad bland. DRINK UP if you have this year

Same comments as last time. Maybe, strangely, not quite as rich as last bottle, strange coz with ageing i'd expect richer till Over the Top eventually. Still drink by end 14 probably.

Very nice toasty, biscuity Champagne, especially for an own-brand.

Still going well. Bready and yeasty and very long. Loosing its fizz though so i guess maybe year to go before OTT.

A fine example of this splendid vintage - long rounded and biscuity. Drink up though.

Possibly a little warm. Creamy texture, very yeasty, savoury rather than any sweetness. Seemed to lose fizz very quickly but that may have been the pour/glasses/temperature.

I've enjoyed a previous bottle more. While clean and fruity, I found this a tad sweet and lacking refinement. Undoubtably good value even though.

Drinking superbly, plenty of life left in these warm, rich but steely. Textbook vintage champagne.

What a fabulous champagne and at its price simply superb. Yeasty and warm on the nose with fine if not finest mousse. Long pleasing taste. Definitely a serious wine not a chatter with mates fizz. And all at circa $30/bott in UK!

Solid champagne, youthful, just a touch bready but lean fruit. Light.

Reasonably rich from the aging but I prefer more Pinot Noir in my Champagne. Very good though.

Sparkler of the month Decanter September 2010. Serious, well-aged and well-priced. Beeswax, almond, red fruit and citrus, good definition and precision, lovely 2002-weight.

Ripe, supple and fruity, biscuity, showy, slightly coarse mousse, good length. Flavoursome, vivacious, no real finesse.

V good. Nose is rich and there is great balance of acidity with biscuit and light fresh fruit.
