Damn good Syrah. Deep purple black, gobs of dense black plum and smoke fade slowly to hints of anise. Popped and poured this one, can only imagine how much better it would have been after decant.

It smells like and Blackberry. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Medium. Surprised by how well the wine held up. Originally, several years ago, it was very tight. Glad I held onto this last bottle.

Dark purple, nearly black on the cork. Opaque in the glass. Smoke and a little grape on the nose. Big, but tight. Obviously a quality wine, but give it some time to open up.

This has really gotten impressive. Deep, balanced and flavorful dark fruits. Yum.

This really, really improved since I had my previous tasting 2 years ago. The fruit was very noticeable and rich now. It was very tight and almost sour last time. Nice nose and good structure. What a pleasant surprise.

Excellent blend of 93% Syrah, 3.5% Grenache, and 3.5% Mourvedre. A subtle spicyness of the syrah shines through but is softened by the blend. Overall full body yet subtle and somewhat refined.

Still tight, should have been decanted. Reclosed it and tried it two days laterand it was awesome - smooth and delicious.

COLOR - dark red. NOSE - nice. FLAVOR - deliciously aged, very subtle fruits - plum predominates, but there is spice in the backbone. RATING - 92.

Alas, our last bottle. Still a complex and tasty syrah, as good as our last several bottles. When done right this grape produces excellent wine at half the price of an equivalent cab.

Last bottle must have been slightly off as this was as good as the bottle before that. Currant, spice, earth and fine tobacco. Lots going on in the mouth with layered flavors and good depth. Nice long finish.

Great Syrah blend, with Grenache and Mourvedre; smooth.

Extracted blackberry, dirt and pepper on the nose. Deep, round flavors. Soft tannins - very smooth. Long finish. Elegant, old-world style, reminiscent of Northern Rhone.

Not quite as remarkable as the last bottle, but still very good. Might be fading slightly.

A more mellow/elegant Syrah then I'm used to. Dark in color. More vanilla than the dark fruit. Mellow tanins made for a clean smooth finish. A good red for those who don't like the fruit bombs.

Aromas of currant, plum, spice, earth and tobacco. Very deep and complex wine with layered flavors similar to those found on the nose. Long finsh with very pleasant after taste. Very elegant styled syrah.

Black fruit. I thought the alcohol showed a bit much on the nose and back of the throat. Good value for $15. Had this with a spicy spaghetti sauce and it held up.

Very tasty wine with fruity nose and mellow taste. Nice brick red color showing off a well aged wine.

Drinkable, but not overly interesting in any area. Fine nose of dark red fruit, low acid, slightly tannic without much fruit taste. Fine for $15. I'd be dissappointed if I paid the suggested price of $50.
