Une bouche mure, avec de l’extraction, assez riche pour le millésime mais avec de la finesse et la classe, texture soyeuse et enveloppante. 90-91 Dark fruit that is ripe also and feels a little extracted on the palate, fairly rich for the vintage nut with such a nice silky and enveloping texture, still some finesse and class.

spectacular french PN. Very food friendly and matched perfectly with duck breast.Has the finesse and seamless intergration lacking in the bigger US Pinot Noirs.

Nez de fruits noirs, cerises entre autres et même bleuets avec un petit côté floral et une touche boisée. La bouche est puissante et ferme, bonne acidité avec un petit côté minéral, la finale est assez longue mais les tannins sont un peu fermes et légèrement anguleux presque. Bonne bouteille, mais qui a besoin de temps. 89-90

Thanksgiving dinner. Only thoughts are that it was very well balanced, fruit was light and elegant with resolved tannins, good acidity with a silky mouthfeel and very expressive mid palate. Sorry nothing more but think you can understand seeing it was Thanksgiving dinner.

Complex, tannins not quite yet integrated, dark fruit, cassis and currant.

Lukter av jordbær og litt solbær (?). Med luft og litt varmere temperatur får vi også litt tyngre frukt, retning plomme. Silkemyk i munnen, fyldig (for en Volnay), men elegant og frisk. Delikat bitterhet i finish, som blir sittende lenge. Deilig!

Quatuor inédit en Côte de Beaune - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Tonnellerie Damy - Meursault) : Tasting, brief note. Red charry and berry aromas, same again on palate with black berry hints. Ripe, fun and forward, with some elegant structure in background. Will drink well young. VG for its level in a few years. DIVA Burgundy Tasting (Maison Champy - Beaune) : Tasting, brief note. Already bottled. Spice, spring flowers, red fruit in harmony of classic Volnay aromas. Pretty flavors as well, picking up weight on finish. Good for the vintage, and VG 90+ point potential.

More black than red cherry, starts of forward with simple spice; picks up weight and tannins on finish with more spice as well. Good+ for its level.
