Oaky wet wool nose. Very fresh on the palate but an unpleasant aftertaste of manzanilla which would be great in a refreshing dry sherry, but not in a cava. I really don't understand or like this oxidised style although some (ie lovers of Bolly and Krug) may enjoy it. It just tasted corked to me. Meh. Didn't finish

From 75cl. Another bottle of inoffensive, very neutral-tasting, genuinely dry Cava. See TN of 09.08.2019. It's OK, nobody is forcing you to buy this fizz, let alone drink it. 84-85P

From 75cl. Ooops. I was very nice about this on 09.08.2019, but in truth it is just another superdry Cava, ideal for people who don't like their wine to taste of... wine. Where on earth did I discern those "citrus hints"? It's beyond me tonight. For 20 EUR there are plenty of excellent Crémants (Loire/Alsace/Jura) and quite a few entry-level Champagnes offering much more interest. I have 4 more to go, so am giving an honest 86P on this occasion …

From 75cl, perfect layered champagne cork. Very fine, lively bubbles; typically underwhelming Cava aromatics in the gently herbal-grassy spectrum; bone-dry entry; dense-textured, chewy mid-palate. Refreshing citrus hints on the otherwise squeaky-clean finish. An excellent gastronomic partner with a wide choice of antipasti. Appropriately priced at just over 20 EUR retail. 89-90P
