This is absolutely right in the zone right now - when first opened, the nose and palate are a bit flat, but with about 45 minutes of air this blossoms out with delicious secondary leather and earth overlying beautiful red and black cherry with a nice medium body, all in all classic for a Brunello. the tannins are still present, fine, and in fine balance with everything else about this wine.
