Wonderfully integrated tannins and acidity. Ripe figs, cassis, bing cherries and toast dominate the palate. Very nice finish and mouthfeel.

Served alongside 1991 Mondavi; darker in color with a bit more robust nose of dark fruit; plum, black currant, and damp earth; definitely more structured on the palate; not as balanced, but this did hold up better than the Mondavi as the night progressed

Beautiful nose of creme de cassis, cedars new French oak and super ripe blackberries sprinkled with vanilla. Full-bodied, this is rich and powerful while being easy to drink. Red and black currants, beautiful new French oak, black berries and cherries on the palate. Cedar and spice as well as a nice streak of minerality on the palate. Ten Years On - 2012 Cabernet Sauvignons (Canoehead Central) : Lovely dark garnet with a purple core. Complex bouquet or as one reacted – “that’s a punch in the face!”. Lots of spice and wood on the nose – cedar, vanilla, nutmeg, roasted nuts. Others picked up a distinct bubble gum aroma. Classic Cabernet dark red fruits carried through on the tongue. A bit sweet-ish. Acid seemed low. A bit sour on the finish. Finished fifth overall.

I've never had a Duckhorn this good, but I've also never kept in my cellar this long. I'm glad I did. This has aged exceptionally and I would say would last another 10 years.

Really enjoyable after a decant. Not a Pop & Pour as it was disjointed after opening. But at 10 yrs it still has a lot of fruit and lovely finish. Sadly my 2 adult sons and a friend drank most of it while my wife and I were cooking. (Note to self: access control!)

Decanted this for 45 minutes prior to serving and this is in a great place right now. The nose is pleasant with lot of stewed fruits, dark fruits, and a touch of leather. Medium bodied - but overall really well balanced. Finish is medium length. Easy drinker - paired this with home made NY strip steaks and it was very good and worked perfectly with the food. Would buy again.

Opened 2 bottles (a 2012 & 2013) to pair with a beautiful dry aged bone in strip. The 2012 saw the benefit of smoother more integrated tannins while the 2013 seemed to be a bit fresher with more fruit on the front end. Both pretty similar, out of 4 people we were divided on which we preferred. The 2012 is in a nice drinking window, the 2013 we felt could go much longer.

PNP, no need for aeration. Fully mature now. Black cherries, blackberries and plums, little spice and some earthy tone. Fully integrated tannins. No alcohol attack even instantly after opening. Sweetness nicely balances acidity. Lacks volume. Paired with lamb chops. After all, well-made straightforward and easy drinking Napa cab, nothing more. QPR questionable as usual with Californian wines))

Lovely wine. Decanted for 3 hours. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry. It tastes like black currant (cassis), mineral, petrol and mushroom. The body is full.

(From a magnum) I liked it but had hope for more. Crowd liked it a lot as they had no expectations. Mellow cab fruit, still bright and youthful but missing some roundness and integration.

Needs a lot more time in the bottle. It took being out all night to start having the fruit really shine through. I have one more bottle of this wine, I wont open it until 2023 or 2024.

Wine was great to drink after taking some time to breathe. Hints of plumb and cherry and smooth finish beginning to end. Little sediment toward the end of the bottle and recommend a filter to use.
