Poggiobello Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio

Lots of fruit but on dry side. Went well with baked cod and herbs.

Crisp with lots of grapefruit.

Pale to medium gold in color. Fresh yet rich on the nose, with juicy fruit aromas of peach and apricot and guava backed by a distinct note of honey. And not normal honey, more like wildflower honey or something like that where the honey has an almost earthy, pungent character and a floral bite to go along with its golden sweetness. Nose shows dry citrus, slight stone fruit, white flowers. Palate pretty typical, stone fruit, slightly lees character, decent complexity and finish. Medium plus acidity. Pretty classic.
