Black-red, surprisingly little nose, good grippy mouthful of pure Tempranillo. Tannin still evident. Went well with chicken liver risotto. At its best with biscuits and cheese. Thinning slightly on the finish.

I’m not sure why the other notes on this wine are so negative. Maybe they just haven’t given it enough time to open up. The only critical point from my perspective would be that I find it slightly hot, but not overwhelmingly so. Deep ruby color. Full aromas of blackcurrant, licorice some pepper and a hint of eucalyptus. Full bodied and smooth tannins and balanced acidity. A long and fresh finish with a slightly hot touch.
