Nice medium yellow straw colour. On the nose, upon opening, aromas of mango and touch of caramel and faint shredded wheat. Floral component as well. On the palate, the attack is frank, with a well rounded mid-palate, with the aromas from the nose, added citrus fruit, a good acidity a touch of mineral bitterness with a good intensity and length. Pale yellow. Lemon curd bouquet. Great attack, blossoms quickly to mineral inflected medium bodied lemon floral palate. Complexity and balance with a saline undertow. Nice final. Have to try letting one of these age for 10-15 years one day and seeing what aged Chasselas is all about...maybe the Brez bottling would be a better bet for that though....

Belle robe jaune pâle. Au nez, ce sont de beaux arômes de fruits sur les agrumes et un côté floral bien présent. En bouche, l'attaque est franche avec une bonne vivacité, mais aussi une attaque immédiate et très plaisante du fruit, du floral puis un côté minéral présent, mais secondaire lorsque comparé au fruit. Une bonne longueur. Très bon, bien filigrané et très fin. En comparaison au Brez du même millésime bu en parallèle, ce Petit-Clos est déjà plus ouvert …
