Got this to try for $5 at Total Wines in Tampa FL. Very simple but straightforward and tasty wine. Pure cherry, Sangio fruit notes on the nose and palate with just enough acidity to make it lively. Not especially complex. Striking QPR. Great everyday, pizza/pasta wine.

Prominent nose with notes of black pepper, baking bread, and soft cheese. Berry on the rear palate, and a tiny bit of cinnamon on the front. It has good complexity

Blackberry, graphite. Enjoyable. Plus, my mother liked it, so, bonus points.

Moderate fruit. Solid wine for lighter fare. Great QPR

full plum/cherry flavor . Compared to a lot of thinner reds, this really was round and enveloped your tongue with juicy fullness. The tannins are high but balance nicely with the fruit. A little sweet. Great value at $10 at Total Wine in Phoenix .

I opened this bottle, poured a glass, tasted it and was ready to throw it away, way too fruity, almost sweet. Went ahead and finished fixing dinner and then tasted it again, now lots of tannins, a little too much. Put the bottle away and had it again the next day. Much better now, red cherry, some cedar, better balance.

Pleasing, smooth, with satiny tannins. Mixed red berries anda dash of spice. Excellent value at around $11.00 in my neck of the woods.

In a modern, crowd-pleasing style. Wouldn't guess Italian sangio at all. Could be from anywhere. Rich body, red fruit flavors, and lots of vanilla. Paired just fine with our pasta.
