Gorgeous Friday night Cabernet by Jean for AXR. From Artalade vineyard on Pritchard Hill, the wine is potent, muscular and well structured. Aromas and palate of baked plums, toasted cherries, intense core of iron, minerals and pencil shavings. Little bit of cedarwood and sun dried herbs. Nice juicy acidity, chewy tannins on long Finish!

Opened this incredible wine today as both of my boys finish 1st and 3rd grade. 4 hr decant. Deep purple Artalade vineyard is on Pritchard Hill, higher altitude and longer hangtime. Jean extracts the best flavors and tannins outta this. Pronounced notes of freshly roasted coffee beans, espresso, mocha and volcanic minerality are in an abundance! Rich palate adding tobacco, cedar, saline notes and licorice. All cased in opulent dark fruits! Held by nice acidity and Silky tannins on a …
