Clos Roche Blanche Pineau d'Aunis Touraine Rosé

Wonderful. Fresh. Pure. I can't say enough. Upon opening, smells like butterflies. Pretty pale pink. 24 hours open, nose of fresh air, underripe raspberry, pine sap, some nice, round oxidative notes, a mineral snap. Generous raspberry fruit on the palate, balanced by a strong acid and a substantial mineral finish. Vibrant minerals in the finish. Not at all juicy. Very clean, and just a bit too comfortable to be called elegant. Excellent.

a bit of mustiness on the nose obscures this wine for me. i don't know if it is bottle variation or if it is this wine. palate is bright and sharp with pepper and minerals and flowers. something on the nose though. if this is the wine, i don't like it as much as recent vintages.
