Great nose, rich dark fruit notes a little jammy, with a nice lingering finish

Leaf Day - Wine just below cork in neck. Little sediment - not decanted. Served in a Riedel Pinot Noir glass. Translucent garnet in core with a very slight browning at rim. Nose is dry ripe cherry, cola and a touch of spice (anise and clove). On the palate it’s very smooth and very fruit forward. The flavours are black cherry, Dr. Pepper, anise and white pepper with some heat from the alcohol (14.5% stated). The long finish is cola …

Flavors of cola and a little vegetable green. The cherry is there as well, this is very fruity, with a moderate finish. Needed to breathe a bit before it was drinkable. B-

Not as good as prior bottle. Just not much here. Maybe a bad bottle. Will see if next two show anything. Disappointing.

Pale ruby, med- body, light nose of jammy strawberry and rhubarb pie, wet stone, damp soil, cherry fruit, hint of jammy berry, cinnamon and clove and long finish, hint of acidity to bring you back for more.

Smooth pinot. Filled with cherry just like the name. Great as a opening wine before food or with mild cheese and berries.

Medium body. Cherry. Paired with Indian food. Nice, smooth wine but one dimensional

What it lacks in elegance it makes up for with bold flavors of strawberry, cherry, blackberry, rhubarb and spice. Somewhat hot.

This bottle was a bit lighter and had less fruit than the prior one. Seemed a bit simple and one dimensional. Will see if next few are similar to this one or prior one which was much better.

Fruit is definitely fading but enough remains to compliment the cola, brown sugar, and dark spices. Still a full bodied wine.

Darker, fuller style. Solid if not spectacular though develops a lot overnight with some deep cherry flavors.

Served straight out of the bottle. Great color, typical Carneros aromas and mid-range pinot flavors. Medium + finish. All-around great wine for the price. Drink now through 2021.

This was meant to drink young and we waited a bit too long as it is now showing a hint of a harsh edge.

Starting to show its age as it has began to thin out and leave barnyard funk behind. Still a big California pinot with loads of cherry cola, vanilla extract, clove, and other baking spice. Alcohol stings on the finish and makes it very disjointed. I'd drink these.

Cherry cola, vanilla extract, clove, fennel, and mostly just a lot of jammy fruit. Great on its own but not so much with food. A little acidic at first. Has 3-5 good years left.

The bright raspberry fruit has died down since my last tasting, and this is coming into a nice place. A nicely balanced, and subtle Pinot.

With pork loin and friends... California v Oregon. My friends liked the fruit and fullness of the Cherry Pie. I liked the edginess of the Stoller. In the end, a dollup or two of the Cherry Pie into the Stoller's glass was the winner.

Very consistent, and just like previous note. Again, not very complex but big in flavor. Fans of burgundy may take issue with this style, as it is quintissential new world CA.
