Nine years on this is reminds me why I keep a cellar. This $23 wine drank like $75. Black fruits and forest floor with a bit barnyard thrown in for interest, all matured, mellowed, integrated. Just delicious. I think this is it though, drink it now.

Meat marinade nose. Juicy wine with notes of olive and, meat; has that savory thing going on while still expressing fresh dark berries. Refreshing acidity to boot. Good value here.

I'd thought these were all long gone, but found a bottle hiding in the cellar and am very glad I did. This wine is in a perfect spot right now. Always interesting to find a wine at peak at age 6, and pleasantly surprising as so many wines are in an awkward window at about that age. This had perhaps just a whiff of brett but otherwise was very Northern Rhone Syrah in character. It's not a wine that comes …

Not the best showing, mainly lilacs and violets, lacking some fruit.

Really, one of the best values in the northern rhone, at the price of an andrew jackson. Smoky, olivey, black licorice nose with a touch of barnyard and good extraction of dark fruit. If only it were easier to find.

Have had ups and downs with this wine, some bottles showing a lot of Northern Rhone syrah character while others have been quieter. Last night's bottle was quite good. Black olive and dark berry, just what I want. Good showing.

On a fruit day, this feels lithe despite the vintage. One of the best values in the northern Rhone if you can find them. Less perfume than my other bottles, violets and olives and brambly fruit.

Enjoyable. Rustic, some barnyard swill in here with brightness. Unrefined for my taste but I recognize it's fun and abovenita pay grade

Wow, that's a lot of N. Rhone Syrah for the money. I am always on the lookout for a "baby" N. Rhone Syrah that delivers real Syrah character for a reasonable price. For years that wine was the Gonon VdP Iles Feray. That wine rules, and used to cost about what this one costs. Unfortunately it's now incredibly allocated and getting just a few bottles at double the price. Anyway, this one was excellent. It's a bit young and tight …

With some barnyard on the nose. ANd tight on the palate, direct.

Wooha. Smoky nose with just a touch of peat and maybe a tinge of brett. Blackberries and olives, and a liveliness. One of the best northern Rhone values out there.

Very young. Not as ebulliently fruity as the 2015, but bags of Northern Rhone pepperiness and dark, savoury fruit. Give this another year.
